How long will it take to translate a document?

It depends on the length of the document, the technicality of the subject matter and the deadline. Translating any document usually requires three people: a translator, an editor and a proofreader. After that, we need to prepare the final document for delivery. That’s why it’s not usually an overnight job. It might require additional time to allow for revisions and localizing by our Latin American based associates. However, we also understand that in the commercial world sometimes help is needed more urgently. In that case let us know what you need and we’ll work within your timeframe. If you know that you will need our help in the future then it’s best to book our services ahead of time, even before the copy is finalised.

Why do you need more than one person to work on localizing the document? Can’t the same person translate, edit and proofread?

It’s best practice to have different people performing each of these roles. Each one is highly specialized and requires different skill sets. The end result will be flawless and doing the work this way rules out the possibility of any typos or inappropriate nuances appearing in the final copy. We don’t believe that you can get the same quality result by cutting corners.

 Do you have testimonials or recommendations from past clients and students?

Yes, and most of them mention our professionalism, organization and responsiveness. But we’re happy to report they also say that we’re “a joy to work with” with a good sense of humour. How much do you charge for a translation?

That depends on the length, the complexity of the copy and the deadline. If you tell us a bit about the specifics of your project, we’ll be able to give you an estimate of costs.

  • The best way to find out is to get in touch! We’ve worked on highly technical translations previously. Our past projects have included operational manuals for maritime communication and an air navigation system. If we don’t think we’re the right translation service for you, we’ll tell you.

  • No, we don’t. You’ll need a certified/sworn translator for that. We don’t translate documents that require legalization. However, we translate technical documents and scientific material, as well as sales and marketing communications. For example, operation manuals, instructions, annual reports, pitch decks, articles, white papers, etc.

  • We can arrange a call to assess your language proficiency level. We’re happy to adjust the pace and content of classes to suit your skills.

  • Because we typically work one-to-one or in small groups, we tailor the content to the students’ ability. We’re focused on giving you practical communication skills in a fun and creative way. You will still learn grammar and conjugation of verbs, but you’ll also enjoy the experience.

  • Every student is different, and so are their needs and, therefore, the classes we offer. We’d like to have a chat with you to see if we are a good fit. After that, we’ll email you our proposal with all the information, including the price of the course.

  • We teach one-to-one and in groups of up to five.

  • We mainly teach using Zoom or Teams, but we can offer on-site classes if required. There may be an additional charge for in person teaching.
